She wishes to travel to Canada to complete the final module of training in Laban Movement Analysis, a resource which continues to inform and inspire her work with dancers, actors and musicians. Kaja Bjorntvedt a 28 year old London based Norwegian composer works in collaboration with choreographers. She wishes to extend her collaborative skills through an invitation to the Isle of Skye to attend rarescale, an electric-acoustic artistic retreat to focus on soundscores for contemporary dance. Catherine Busk a 26 year old British dancer and workshop leader lives in Reading, Berkshire. She is currently in training as a dance movement therapist. She wishes to travel to Bogota, Columbia to take part in the third stage of War and Feast . The Project works for and with communities exposed to poverty and violence, using dance as a medium to facilitate social change. The scholarship is for £818. report

Colin Daimond a 31year old British Capoeira teacher from Wales wishes to travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil to continue his development as a first-level teacher in the Afro-Brazilian form of Capoeira. The scholarship is for £986. report

Ruth Gibson a 45 year old British dance and digital/visual artist from London wishes to travel to Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. Her project is to pursue research into the marriage of contemporary dance, motion capture and interactive virtual worlds. She will attend a conference to deliver a paper and conduct a series of interviews with experts in the field. The scholarship is for £915. report

Laura Greenhalgh a 28 year old British dancer, choreographer and teacher is London based. She will travel to New York to attend an intensive summer course at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. Laura wishes to develop her knowledge and understanding of the Graham technique and repertoire. The scholarship is for £345. report

Christina Gusthart a 23 year old Scottish independent dance artist lives in Edinburgh. She wishes to travel to New York and Los Angeles to gain a deeper more informed understanding of Hip Hop and commercial dance styles. Her scholarship is for £529. report

Flora Herberith a 34 year old German performer and aerialist from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Flora will travel to Colorado to attend an intensive training course at the 12th annual Aerial Festival in Boulder. She wishes to develop her skills and choreographic expertise in order to set up her own Aerial Dance company. The scholarship is for £793.

Fenfen Huang a 28 year old Chinese free-lance dance artist, choreogrpher and tutor lives in Liverpool. She will travel to Beijing for a period of five months to train in Chinese classical dance at the Beijing Dance Academy. The scholarship is for £708. report

Andrew Kim a 40 year old American pupeteer and Artistic Director of Thingumajig Theatre lives in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. He is one of five performers invited to travel to Turin to participate in the Incanti Project, a three week master class taught by the legendary master pupeteer, Frank Soehnle. Rhiana Laws a 30 year old British freelance Contemporary dance artist currently works in Scotland providing training for artists wishing to use dance to work with challenging behaviour. She wishes to develop her practice in a different culture and will travel to Sri Lanka to work for the Butterfly Peace Garden Project. She will work with children traumatised by war and the Tsunami. Lucy Nicholson a 28 year old Community Dance artist currently living in Cumbria will travel to Cape Town, South Africa to take part in a skills exchange with Dance for All, a company who work with disadvantaged young people. Through teaching, choreographic work and the opportunity to be mentored, Lucy aims to develop as a specialist in this area. The scholarship is for £780. report

Helen Linsell a 32 year old dance project manager and Community Dance artist living in Bradford, West Yorkshire, wishes to travel to Cape Town, South Africa to extend her experience and practice. She will work for a month with Dance for All, an organisation that delivers dance to young people from disadvantaged areas in Cape Town and surrounding rural areas. The project includes teaching contemporary dance, choreography and research. The scholarship is for £780. report

She will travel to Dakar, Senegal to attend the L’Ecole des Sables first professional workshop for dancers from the African diaspora. She will attend a two-week intensive tap course and undertake archival research into jazz and dance at the Lincoln Centre in order to develop a sustainable tap dance and live music group.
