Avatara Ayuso, a 31 year-old choreographer, dancer and teacher from London, will travel to Tokyo to undertake research on contemporary dance in order to further understand the Japanese approach to performing arts and to develop choreographic skills. The scholarship is for £800. report

Clair Beckett, a 25 year-old community dance practitioner from Plymouth, Devon, will travel to Oakland, California, to attend the Axis Dance Company Integrated Summer School to learn more about developing technique for inclusive classes that can physically challenge all participants. The scholarship is for £900. report

Alice Cade, a 30 year-old performer and teacher from Stamford, Lincs, will travel to the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia, USA, to attend two large gatherings of dancers and musicians to develop her flatfooting skills and extend her understanding of clogging styles. The scholarship is for £850. report

Elizabeth Clark, a 39 year-old dance artist and co-artistic director from Loughborough, will travel to Bologna to take part in “La Baracca Testoni Ragazzi International Festival for early Childhood”; she will attend performances, conferences and master classes to explore work and artistic processes. The scholarship is for £200. (unable to take up scholarship)

Frances Clarke, a 51 year-old senior lecturer from Birmingham, will travel to Vienna to attend the “International Symposium on Performance Science” in order to develop her work as a practitioner and researcher in dance science and her understanding of psychological techniques. The scholarship is for £280. report

Thomas Davies, a 22 year-old break dance teacher from Newport, Gwent, will travel to Banksa, Slovakia, to attend “Catch the Flavour Breakdance Summer Camp” which is taught by four pioneers of breakdance. The Camp culminates in a jam called “Outbreak Europe”. The scholarship is for £400. report *

Adesvwa Ekundayo, a 22 year-old dance graduate from Ilford, will travel to New York to attend the six week Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive to gain further technical training with specific emphasis on Horton. The scholarship is for £550. Unable to take up scholarship.

Nina Gebauer, a 29 year-old movement-based puppeteer living in London, will travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to collaborate with the Familiarts Centre to exchange creative skills through exploration of Afro-Brazilian folk dances and Mamulengo, a form of puppetry. The scholarship is for £850. report

Janine Harrington, a 28 year-old freelance choreographer and dancer from London, will travel to Vienna to participate in the “ImPulse Tanz Festival workshops and Performance programme”. She aims to immerse herself in the working methods of several international artists. The scholarship is for £280. report

Jennifer Irons, a 36 year-old dancer, teacher and co-artistic director from London, will travel to Windhoek, Namibia. She has been invited by the Ombetja Yehinga Organisation to work with teachers and unemployed young people to share practice and creative approaches to developing issue-based work using the arts as a tool for social development. The scholarship is for £1,100. report

Helen Laws, a 38 year-old arts manager from London, will travel to Seattle, USA, to attend the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science conference to learn from the latest best practice and research about how best to support the health, well-being and performance of dancers. The scholarship is for £800. report

Paolo Mangiola, a 34 year-old freelance choreographer from London, will travel to Tokyo to continue exploration started in 2012 on the concept of ‘nuclear energy’ and the impact it has on our lives through engaging with the dance community in Tokyo. The scholarship is for £700. report

Brigid McCarthy, a 47 year-old freelance dance practitioner and aerialist from Edinburgh, will travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to study with Cuerda Productions (a team of physical theatre practitioners), to develop new ideas and skills. The scholarship is for £850. report

Seeta Patel, a 32 year-old freelance performer, choreographer and teacher from London, will travel to New York to attend an 8-week film and digital course at the NY Film Academy where she will be challenged to produce four films. She will extend her choreographic explorations using film. The scholarship is for £650. report

Jennifer Paterson, a 39 year-old freelance dance artist and aerialist from Edinburgh, will travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to study advanced aerial dance harness skills through training and research with Cuerda Productions. She will also observe some current work of other companies. The scholarship is for £850. report

Louisa Pestell, a 27 year-old project manager and artistic director from London, will travel to Kenya and Uganda to take part in a knowledge/skills exchange with three key dance organisations in East Africa to research mutually beneficial ways of working and extend her knowledge. The scholarship is for £900. report

Jessica Santer, a 31 year-old dance and performance participation producer from London, will travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to undertake professional development by visiting community and social arts projects working with the Lia Rodrigues Dance Company. The scholarship is for £700. Unable to take up scholarship.

Sophie Stephenson, a 22 year-old freelance dance instructor and performer from Inverness-shire, will travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to explore and research the percussive step dance forms native to Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island. She aims to learn about regional variations. The scholarship is for £700. report

Kathinka Walter, a 39 year-old lecturer in choreography and creative studies and yoga teacher from Leeds, will travel to New York to work with performance artist, Lindsey Drury, exchange artistic approaches and perform at Brooklyn International Performance Art Festival.
